దుబాయ్: దుబాయ్లో 67 అంతస్తుల భారీ భవనంలో అగ్ని ప్రమాదం జరిగింది. దుబాయ్లోని ‘మెరీనా పినాకల్’ అనే అతి పెద్ద భవనంలో శనివారం అర్ధరాత్రి ఉన్నట్టుండి మంటలు రేగాయి. ఆ బిల్డింగ్లో ఉన్న 3వేల 800 మందిని సురక్షితంగా ఖాళీ చేయించారు.

ఎవరికీ ఎలాంటి గాయాలు కాలేదని అధికారులు చెప్పడంతో అంతా ఊపిరి పీల్చుకున్నారు. ‘మెరీనా పినాకల్’ భవనాన్ని ‘టైగర్ టవర్’ అని కూడా పిలుస్తారు. భారీ ఎత్తున మంటలు ఎగసిపడటంతో దుబాయ్ సివిల్ డిఫెన్స్ టీమ్స్ ఆరు గంటల పాటు శ్రమించి మంటలను అదుపులోకి తెచ్చారు.

మంటలు అదుపులోకి వచ్చినప్పటికీ ఆ ప్రాంతమంతా పొగలు అలుముకున్నాయి. ఆ ‘టైగర్ టవర్స్’ను ఖాళీ చేసిన 3వేల 800 మందికి తాత్కాలికంగా పునరావాసం కల్పించేందుకు అధికారులు ఏర్పాట్లు చేశారు. ఇదిలా ఉండగా.. ఈ ‘మెరీనా పినాకల్’ బిల్డింగ్లో అగ్ని ప్రమాదం జరగడం ఇదేం తొలిసారి కాదు. మే 25, 2015న కూడా 47వ ఫ్లోర్ లోని కిచెన్లో మంటలు రేగాయి. 48వ ఫ్లోర్ వరకూ మంటలు వ్యాపించాయి. అయితే.. ఆ సమయంలో కూడా ఫైర్ సిబ్బంది సకాలంలో స్పందించడంతో పెద్ద ప్రమాదం తప్పింది. 2017లో కూడా ఈ బహుళ అంతస్తుల భవనంలో అగ్ని ప్రమాదం జరిగింది.
