ఛత్తీస్‌గఢ్ రాష్ట్రంలోని దుర్గ్‌లో ఒక పికప్ వాహనం నుంచి రూ. 4 కోట్ల డబ్బును పోలీసులు స్వాధీనం చేసుకున్నారు. నోట్ల కట్టలను ప్యాక్ చేసి తరలిస్తుండగా పోలీసులు సీజ్ చేశారు. ఈ ఘటనపై.. అడిషనల్ ఎస్పీ శోభ్‌రాజ్ అగర్వాల్ తెలిపిన వివరాల ప్రకారం.. ఖుర్సిపార్ పోలీస్ స్టేషన్ పరిధిలో వాహనాల తనిఖీ జరుగుతుండగా, ఒక తెల్లని పికప్ ట్రక్కులో పెద్ద మొత్తంలో నగదును తరలిస్తున్నట్లు సమాచారం అందింది.

Additional SP Shobhraj Agrawal says, "During a vehicle check, under the jurisdiction of the Khursipar Police Station, information was received that a large sum of money was being transported in a white pickup truck. The vehicle was intercepted and searched; it was occupied by a driver and one other individual. While the vehicle appeared empty upon initial inspection and preliminary questioning, a thorough search revealed a specially constructed, modified compartment at the rear. A total of Rs 4 crore was recovered from this compartment. Both individuals are currently being questioned regarding the source of the funds and their intended destination. The Income Tax Department has also been notified. Further action will be taken by the Income Tax Department based on the information that emerges regarding the origin of the money and its intended destination. The investigation is still in its preliminary stages; further inquiries are underway, and subsequent action will be taken based on the facts that come to light."

ఆ వాహనాన్ని ఆపి తనిఖీ చేయగా, అందులో డ్రైవర్‌తో పాటు మరో వ్యక్తి ఉన్నారు. ప్రాథమిక పరిశీలనలో.. వాహనం ఖాళీగా ఉన్నట్లు అనిపించినప్పటికీ, క్షుణ్ణంగా తనిఖీ చేయగా వెనుక భాగంలో ప్రత్యేకంగా తయారు చేసిన ఒక కంపార్ట్‌మెంట్ బయటపడింది. ఈ అరలో మొత్తం రూ. 4 కోట్ల నగదు లభ్యమైంది.

ఈ డబ్బు ఎక్కడి నుంచి వచ్చింది, ఎక్కడికి తరలిస్తున్నారనే విషయాలపై ఆ ఇద్దరు వ్యక్తులను విచారిస్తున్నారు. ఆదాయపు పన్ను శాఖకు కూడా సమాచారం అందించారు. ఈ నగదు మూలాలు, గమ్యస్థానానికి సంబంధించి వెల్లడయ్యే వివరాల ఆధారంగా ఆదాయపు పన్ను శాఖ తదుపరి చర్యలు తీసుకుంటుంది. ప్రస్తుతం దర్యాప్తు ప్రాథమిక దశలోనే ఉంది. విచారణ కొనసాగుతుంది. వాస్తవాలు వెల్లడైన తర్వాత తదుపరి చర్యలు ఉంటాయని పోలీసులు తెలిపారు.
