ఇంపాల్‌: మణిపూర్‌లో ఘోర ప్రమాదం జరిగింది. నోనీ జిల్లాలో కొండచరియలు ఆర్మీ బేస్‌ క్యాంప్‌పై విరిగిపడటంతో ఏడుగురు జవాన్లు ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోయారు. 45 మంది గల్లంతయ్యారు. జిరిబామ్ నుంచి ఇంఫాల్ వరకు రైల్వే లైన్ నిర్మాణంలో ఉంది. దీని రక్షణ కోసం టుపుల్ రైల్వే స్టేషన్ సమీపంలో 107 టెరిటోరియల్ ఆర్మీ బేస్‌ క్యాంప్‌ని ఏర్పాటు చేశారు.

బుధవారం (జూన్ 29న) అర్ధరాత్రి సమయంలో ఆ బేస్‌ క్యాంప్‌పై కొండచరియలు విరిగిపడ్డాయి. ఈ ఘటనలో ఏడుగురు జవాన్లు అక్కడికక్కడే మృతి చెందగా, 45 మంది ఆచూకీ గల్లంతైంది. మరోవైపు శిథిలాల కింద చిక్కుకున్న వారిని రక్షించేందుకు ఆర్మీ రెస్క్యూ ఆపరేషన్‌ చేపట్టింది. ఈ ఘటనపై మణిపూర్‌ సీఎం బిరేన్‌ సింగ్‌ దిగ్భ్రాంతి వ్యక్తం చేశారు. క్షతగాత్రులకు మెరుగైన చికిత్స అందించాలని అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు.
