ఓల్డ్ ఢిల్లీలోని చావ్రి బజార్‌లో గురువారం ఉదయం నిర్మాణంలో ఉన్న మూడు అంతస్తుల భవనం కుప్పకూలింది. ఈ దుర్ఘటనలో.. శిథిలాల కింద పలువురు చిక్కుకుపోయినట్లు అధికారులు భావిస్తున్నారు. చావ్రి బజార్ మెట్రో స్టేషన్ సమీపంలోని గలీ సితారా దగ్గర ఉదయం 9.50 గంటల సమయంలో ఈ ఘటన జరిగింది.
A three-storey building under construction collapsed in the Paiwalan area near Chawri Bazaar on Thursday morning. The incident was reported at around 10:15 am from Gali Sattara, Sheesh Mahal, opposite Chawri Bazaar Metro Station. Some people are feared to be trapped inside the collapsed structure. Six emergency units, including three water tenders, a water bowser, a quick response vehicle and an incident response team, were deployed. Senior officers are at the site. రెస్క్యూ టీంలు, ఆరు అగ్నిమాపక బృందాలు సహాయక చర్యలను ముమ్మరం చేశాయి. పాత ఢిల్లీ ప్రాంతంలో దీపావళి కారణంగా పబ్లిక్తో చాందినీ చౌక్, చావ్రి బజార్ హోల్‌సేల్ మార్కెట్లు రద్దీగా ఉన్న సమయంలో ఈ బిల్డింగ్ కూలిపోవడం కలకలం రేపింది.
ఢిల్లీ ఫైర్ సర్వీస్ (DFS) ప్రకారం, భవనం కూలిపోయినట్లు ఉదయం 9:50 గంటల సమయంలో సమాచారం అందింది. ఈ ప్రదేశం చావ్రి బజార్ మెట్రో స్టేషన్‌కు ఎదురుగా ఉంది. సమాచారం అందిన వెంటనే ఆరు అగ్నిమాపక వాహనాలను ఘటనా స్థలానికి పంపించారు. ఆ భవనం నిర్మాణంలో ఉందని అధికారులు తెలిపారు.

శిథిలాల కింద కొందరు చిక్కుకుని ఉండే అవకాశం ఉన్నందున, అదనపు అగ్నిమాపక వాహనాలను, అధికారులను కూడా ఘటనా స్థలానికి పంపించారు. గలీ షహతారాలోని షీష్ మహల్‌లో నిర్మాణంలో ఉన్న ఈ మూడు అంతస్తుల భవనం అకస్మాత్తుగా కూలిపోవడంతో స్థానికులు ఉలిక్కిపడ్డారు.
