ఒమన్ తీరంలో భారత్ కు చెందని నౌక ప్రమాదవశాత్తు మునిగిపోయింది. సాంకేతిక లోపంలో భారతీయ నౌక ఎంఎస్ వీ విరాట్ 1నౌక మునిగిపోయినట్లు నేవీ అధికారులు ధృవీకరించారు. ఒమన్ తీరంలోని రాజ్ అల్ హద్ కు తూర్పున 80 నాటికల్ మైళ్ల దూరంలో ఆదివారం (జూన్ 14) ఈఘటన జరిగింది. అయితే నౌకలో ఉన్న 14 మంది సిబ్బందిని అమెరికా నౌకాదళం రక్షించిందని భారత నావికా దళం అధికారులు ధృవీకరించారు.అమెరికాకు చెందిన మెరిటైమ పెట్రోల్ ఎయిర్ క్రాప్ట్ నుంచి లైఫ్ రాఫ్ట్ పడవను జారవిడిచి విరాట్ నౌకలోని సిబ్బందిని సురక్షితంగా తీర ప్రాంతానికి చేర్చినట్లు భారత నేవీవర్గాలు తెలిపా
The Mission has learnt of an incident involving an Indian Flagged Mechanised Sailing Vessel Virat 1, off the coast of Oman, reportedly embarked with 14 Indian crew. Search and Rescue is being coordinated with the Omani authorities and vessels in vicinity of the incident.
